ALTAR - Pisac Restaurant

Believe it or not but one of the best coffee i had in Peru in a very cool ambience! Love it and would highly recommend for coffee lovers. Couldn't try the food but hopefully next time.

This café has become one of my favorite little sanctuaries. The food is always so nourishing and full of flavor, the coffee is such a joy, and the people here are genuinely kind and welcoming. I come here often to work, and every time I leave feeling inspired, nourished, and grateful for the beautiful meals and atmosphere they’ve created.

Altar is a super beautiful restaurant in the main square of Pisac. It has a very romantic atmosphere, especially on the second level where there are several sofas with short tables and low lighting. The staff is professional and polite and greeted us and also checked back on our food. The menu has starters, salads, sandwiches, hamburgers, kebabs and a filet mignon. They also serve coffee drinks, tea, juices, beer, wine and cocktails. The double smash burger was very good. The brioche bu. Was lightly toasted and beef was juicy, not over seasoned and was of good quality. Sadly, it did not come with French fries; which for the price of 35 soles should be possible and still make a fair profit. The chicken sandwich was almost perfect. It comes as a pair of smaller brioche buns; so two sandwiches. That’s two chrispy, moist and tender chicken thighs with some type of slaw and a light dressing. Although the sandwich was very good, I though it could have been great if they offered a few spreads like a Cilantro lime or Spicy chili mayonnaise or a cucumber mint yogurt to boost the flavor a bit. Overall we really enjoyed Altar and highly recommend it for a special night out. One recommendation for the kitchen and staff: Don’t serve the table until all dishes are ready. We received our hamburger two to three minutes before our chicken sandwich was served. This practice should be avoided.

Best food in town, the pink tiles on the floor, wow....it has this chic vintage charm to it. Reminiscent of fine italiante pastiche. And its well thought of feng shui lulls one to a deep restful yet rejuvenated state once one enters.

This place is a gem in Pisac. Luxurious ambiance, comfortable, delicious high quality food, excellent loving service. Just the music is ridiculously loud and despite telling the manager who was extremely rude - he would not change it. Rather, he would argue and try to put me down for requesting this. But I’m not going to lower the stars just because of one bad apple. This place is still excellent.

The food is high quality and the people working there are always nice and friendly. 100% recommended.

The ambiance is very nice and it feels productive to do creative computer work here. Lots of comfortably seating areas. The food is super delicious and they don’t use seed oils! I got the smash burger, but finished it fast before I can take photo :p My interaction with the staff has been very pleasant and they are courteous, always offering water, thanks Elion! Zach is the manager there and he so friendly and welcoming.

Altar has the best food in Pisac, along with the best atmosphere. It's a jewel right in the heart of Pisac. Great combination of chic and relaxing lounge. The chef is a genius. The smash burger is incredible. The chocolate croissant is addictive. The coffee is great too. Good service, and very nice atmosphere. Perfect for a romantic dinner date, but also a great place to eat lunch and work all afternoon on my laptop.
